Cops Arrest Notorious Criminal, Seize Illegal Country-Made Pistol And Seize Five Live Cartridges

The rural police on Monday cracked Enfield bike snatching case and arrested notorious criminal along with an illegal country-made pistol and five live cartridges from his possession.The accused has been identified as Anil Kumar of Mohalla Bibi Deep Kaur Talwan in Bilga.In a press conference, Senior Superintendent Of Police (SSP) Mr Navjot Singh Mahal said on April 25, Gurdeep Singh complained to Nurmahal Police that two unknown persons snatched his Enfield Bullet Bike (PB08-DN-0822) on gunpoint near A-1 school in Nurmahal when he was going to Gahir village.On his statement, a case under sections 379-B of IPC and 25,54 and 59 of Arms Act was registered in Nurmahal Police Station.SSP said that Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Dinesh Kumar and police party was carrying out checking in Kot Badal Khan village on April 28, a person on same Enfield bike tried to outsmart the police when he spotted the cops but the police apprehended him. On his revelations, the cops recovered one pistol and five live cartridges from an abandoned place near brick kiln situated on Bhode-Talwan road. SSP said that Anil Kumar has been already facing two criminal cases in the past and his absconding accomplice Manpreet Singh will also be arrested soon.
