Legal fraternity should make best use of IT: Chief Minister

Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh said that legal fraternity should make maximum use of information technology to update themselves with new rulings, guidelines and decisions of High Courts and Supreme Court. He was addressing Bar Members of Jawali Sub-pision of Kangra district.Shri Virbhadra Singh directed the Deputy Commissioner Kangra to acquire the land allotted for the Judicial Complex at Jawali, which had remained un-acquired in the past.  He said that adequate funds would be provided to purchase books for the Bar Library.  He said that the matter for having Additional District Judge Circuit Court and Sub pisional level Court camp at Jawali would be taken up with High Court and pisional Commissioner, Kangra respectively to facilitate the people of the area.

Chief Minister said that Bar Members play an important role in helping the people to get justice and appealed them to guide the poor and needy properly so that they could get relief from the Courts in time.President of Jawali Bar Association Shri Harnek Singh welcomed the Chief Minister and apprised him about the demands of the Bar Association. He congratulated Shri Virbhadra Singh for becoming Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh for the sixth time on behalf of the Association. He said that Judicial Complex at Jawali was set up due to the efforts of Shri Virbhadra Singh and former Minister Shri Chander Kumar.Former Minister Shri Chander Kumar, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Shri Neeraj Bharti, Sh. Kewal Singh Pathania Vice-Chairman, HRTC, Former MLAs Surender Kaku, Shri Ranjit Singh Bakshi and Shri Bodh Raj, including other prominent Congress leaders were also present on the occasion.Earlier a deputation of Gram Panchayat of Pandrehad met Chief Minister and urged to shift the Liquor vend from village Thanna. Other deputations and general people also met the Chief Minister and apprised him of their grievances and demands.Chief Minister assured that all genuine demands would be considered sympathetically.
