Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandigarh celebrates foundation day

It was a time for celebrations for all 33 division of Bharatiya Janata Party in Chandigarh amid the preparations for upcoming elections on the occasion of 39th foundation day of the Party.State Party President Sanjay Tandon participated in celebrations by Mandal No. 9 organized at his residence. The celebrations began with a screening of documentary on the glorious and impressivejourney of Jan Sanghleading to foundation of BJP. The program also witnessed State General Secretary – Prem Kaushik, District President - Ravikant Sharma, Mandal election-in-charge Ravindra Pathania and Mandal Chairman Sanjeev Grover, Chandrawati Shukla, Vinod Rana, Pankaj Azad, Somnath Gujral, Jatinder Malhotra, Mataram Dhiman, Jaswinder Kaur, Amzad Chaudhary, Nathi Ram Mehra, Gaurav Goyal, Avi Bhasin, Balwinder Sharma, Sumita Kohli, Sanjay Puri, Mamohan Kalia, Arundeep, Gur Pratap, Amandeep Singh. According General Secretary Chander Shekhar the celebrations took off with a flag hoisting ceremony followed by commemorations of the founders, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee & Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. On the occasion, State President Sanjay Tandon also conveyed his best wishes for the New Year 2076 & Navratri.

He further expressed pride in being a part of World’s largest democratic party with a members base of 11 crore and growing. He further elaborated on the history of Jana Sangh, that it was founded by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and is widely known as the political arm of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Jana Sangh's first campaign was the movement for Jammu and Kashmir's complete merger in India. After the sudden demise of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the beacon was passed on to Sh. Deen Dayal Upadhyay and the next generation leaders, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani and presently our dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He continued to describing the current strength of BJP with its allies who share similar ideologies like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh & Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh and BJP’s Alpsankhya Morcha,and are continuously moving forward together.
