Continuing its drive against the drug peddlers, Srinagar Police have recovered huge quantity of banned drugs and arrested three drug peddlers in this regard.A police party from police station Panthachowk under the supervision of SHO Muhammad Ayoub Rather during a naka checking today  recovered 300 bottles of Codeine Phosphate in Zewan area of Srinagar.Acting on a specific information,a party of police station Pantha Chowk laid a naka and during the checking at Zewan, it intercepted a car and apprehended three persons from whose possession it recovered 300 bottles of Codeine phosphate.Police seized the contraband and registered case FIR 15/2019 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act and took up the investigation.Pertinent to mention that the police station Panthachowk in recent past has cracked a whip in the drug peddlers in the area and have recovered huge quantity of contraband substances and arrested many drug peddlers in this regard.General public has applauded this police action.
