Giving big jolt to Congress and alleging that Congress never thought about Jammu region and served interests of particular section, senior Congress leader and big wig in Akhnoor and nearby areas, Sham Lal Sharma, joined Bharatiya Janata Party along with his supporters, in presence of BJP National Vice-President Avinash Rai Khanna.BJP State President Ravinder Raina along with former Deputy Chief Minister & Speaker Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Sat Sharma, MLC Vikram Randhawa, MLC Ramesh Arora and other BJP leaders were also present.Avinash Rai Khanna, welcomed the Sham Sharma presenting him with party Patka. Welcoming veteran Congress leader into the BJP family, he termed Sham Sharma as leader and capable person to do good work in a right atmosphere. I express hope that the party will be strengthened by his dedicated efforts, Khanna said added that I also welcome all others who have today joined BJP with a motivation to serve the society and Nation.Khanna, said that today the works by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being appreciated by one and all. With the guidance from the PM Modi, a rejuvenated feel of serving the Nation has taken birth in the hearts of millions of people. Recently held massive public rally near Akhnoor itself speaks volumes about the influence of PM Modi ji’s policies on common masses and it is now established that Modi ji is the only choice of masses today.

Ravinder Raina, said that BJP welcomes senior Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma from the core of heart. He said that as Cabinet Minister and MLA for many years, Sham Sharma always raised his voice strongly for Nation and Dogras. We used to appreciate his patriotic feel and are happy to see him join his true ideology leaving anti-national congress.His decision has made Jammu free from Congress, Raina said and added that those who feel pride in saying “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” cannot breathe freely in Congress. Congress, NC, PDP workers are Mujahideen, Terrorists are Sahib, when they question Indian Army, no person can live in Congress.Sham Lal Sharma, thanked the National Vice President of BJP and other senior BJP leaders for giving him opportunity to the serve the Nation in a true Nationalist party. Today I have joined BJP with oath to serve society and Nation and I assure party leaders that I will serve with all my might, he said.Sharma said that he was feeling suffocated in Congress as he was never allowed to raise voice for the betterment of Jammu region. Congress always worked at the behest of a particular section and favoured the anti-National elements, which compelled me to leave that party.  Today, PM Modi ji has raised international stature of India and I have confidence that I will be more than efficient in my aim to serve the interests of motherland under his leadership, he stated.Along with Sham Lal Sharma, Jourian Chairman and Vice-Chairman, including Jourian MC’s 4 members, Rakesh Malhotra (Akhnoor), Subhash Singh (Jourian), Shilpa Mahajan (Akhnoor). Congress State Committee Members Sham Lal Choudhary and Subhash Langer, 4 block Presidents, 24 Presidents, hundreds of youth active workers, Youth President Assembly Akhnoor Gullu Ram, 200 delegates, Naresh Sharma, (Social Media expert) along with 1500 active members, senior leaders, around 20,000 active members of congress joined BJP.
