DDC Rajouri reviews progress of RDD sector

In order to review the functioning of Rural Development Department, District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting of the concerned officers here in the Conference Hall of PWD Dakbunglow.Various issues related to the timely payment of wages, completion of incomplete works, maintenance of registers like material register, complaint registers etc, implementation of citizen information board, maintenance of cases registered regarding works, integrated GPDP, good governance initiative, secure implementation of MGNREGA, GIS planning, PMAY, Bunkers construction etc were discussed in detail.The DDC directed the BDOs to ensure the installation of two GPS per block till 31 of march, 2019 and make the convergence plan as soon as possible with some innovation.While taking note of construction of bunkers in the border areas, Block Development Officers were directed to ensure the completion within shortest possible time.Detailed discussions were also held on various issues related to the effective implementation of vital schemes and projects in the district.

The DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilize all the sources for effective and timely completion of developmental projects.While taking stock of MGNREGA, the DDC expressed dismay over slow pace of progress and asked Block Development Officers to gear up their efforts and achieve the target within the stipulated time.DDC asked the officers to work with added zeal so that the set targets are achieved in time. He said that schemes like MGNREGA are meant to create viable and durable assets which cater local demand and issue of the villages/panchayats and to provide livelihood to the economically weaker sections of the society.The meeting was attended by CPO, Shama-Un Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Development Akhter Qazi, District Panchayat Officer Dr. Abdul Khabir, Project Officer IWMP Rajouri, XEN REW, , Programme Officers MGNREGA,BDOs and other officers.
