DDC Ramban chairs DLRC, RSETI meetings

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban,Showkat Aijaz Bhat chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to discuss the achievements of banking sector in deposits and advances at conference hall today besides confirming the minutes of last meeting formulated by the Lead Bank Ramban.DDC approved Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLCP), 2019-20 for district Ramban besides reviewing the progress of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Shramyogi Yojan (PM-SYM) in district.The meeting was attended by   M.K Pandita,  GM DIC, CAO, CAHO, District Officer KVIB, ADs,  and  others bankers and officers of line department.LDM informed the chair that total credit disbursed by all the banks operating in the district upto the quarter ending December 2018 an amount of 1332.41crore has been recorded in the deposit and 508.18 crore in the advance sector and the CD Ratio of district has been increased by 0.43% and stands on 38.13%.He directed all the banks to take effective measures for ensuring small loans especially to Agriculture, Education,   and employment sector, so that majority of the population shall be facilitated under various schemes besides.He directed the bankers to provide loans under MUDRA, Atal Pension Yojna besides effectively implementing  PMJDY, PMJJY, PMSBY, PMAPY and other financial assistance schemes to people for establishing their business units. He directed the agriculture authorities and bankers to jointly ensure proper implementation of Pardhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for providing financial security to farmers.  He also stressed the banks to develop digital village besides creating massive awareness programmes among the general masses especially the educated unemployed youth about the benefits of the schemes launched by the Government so that they should avail the benefits of these schemes.

Meanwhile, a meeting to overhaul the functioning of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) at Ramban was also held wherein suggestions from different departments for opening new small scale units were welcomed. DDC directed them to introduce new job oriented courses including innovative forming, food processing and other engineering trades for providing job opportunities to youth of district.
