Punjab launches new Services from Sewa Kendras

Now students of PU can get Transcripts & Re-issue of DMC/Degree

Punjab State e-Governance Society has launched some important new services for the convenience of students and people of Punjab across the state.Divulging the details, Principal Secretary to Department of Governance Reforms and Public Grievances Seema Jain said that in collaboration with Panjab University, Chandigarh, the state government has launched 4 new services for the convenience of students across the state. Now students can get Transcripts of Degree/DMC, Provisional/Absentia Degree, Re-issue of DMC/Degree and Correction in DMC/Degree from the Sewa Kendras. She said that Student centric services will be provided through all Sewa Kendras across the state of Punjab in a hassle free manner. Students have not to run pillar to post to get their degree certificates and transcripts. They just have to visit nearby Sewa Kendras to get their work done in a time bound manner. Soon, these services related to the other Universities like GNDU, Amritsar and Punjabi University, Patiala will also be provided through Sewa Kendras.She further informed that department is also going to launch some more citizen centric services through all Sewa Kendras from 15th March 2019. 

Water & Sewerage Bills (Urban areas/Rural areas) and e-Court fees can also be deposited in all Sewa Kendras from 15th March. “Citizens from now onwards need not to approach departments and to stand in long queues for the remittance of water bills and sewerage bills”, she added.  Principal Secretary also stated that department in it constant endeavour would continue to strive to bring all citizen centric service under one umbrella to achieve the common objective of Good Governance.It is pertinent to mention that under the aegis of Department of Governance Reforms and Public Grievances is providing 246 citizen centric services seamlessly through 515 Unified Citizen Service Delivery Centres alias “Sewa Kendras”. Citizens from all walks of life approaches nearby Sewa Kendras to avail  all sort of  public services which includes Certificates, Permissions, NOC’s, Licenses, Utility Bills, PAN card, Aadhar related and many more .Sewa Kendras are playing pivotal role for providing all the public services end to end, thus eliminating the hue and cry of the citizens during the application process.
