Traders strike call against assault of 35A affects life in Kashmir

The strike called by various trade bodies during a press conference yesterday affected the normal life in Kashmir today.The band affected mostly the city center of Srinagar which is hub of trade in Kashmir.The strike call was issued by various trade bodies against ban on Jama’at-e-Islami and assault on Article 35A.Eyewitness said that all shops and other commercial establishments were closed in throughout the day in Lal Chowk.The shutdown was also observed in Banihal township and its adjoining markets.During a press conference on Monday trade organisations resented continued attacks on special status of Jammu and Kashmir and ban on Jamaat-e-Islami.They also resented against the arrest spree of Jamaat leaders and members across Kashmir.
