Governor inaugurates medical camp at Kangu in Hamirpur district

Governor Acharya Devvrat said that nothing was above to serve the humanity and the purpose of human life should be benevolence.The Governor was speaking in a public meeting at Kangoo in district Hamirpur after inaugurating free medical camp at Government Primary School Kangoo organized by Him Mitra Sarv Kalyan Sansthan.While appreciating the efforts of the Him Mitra Sarv Kalyan Sansthan, he said that this Association has been working in the service of humanity for many years and has been organizing free medical camps for several years in Kangu where doctors from other parts of the country including PGI Chandigarh were providing their services.Acharya Devvrat said that the happiness of life depends on the healthy body as health is the only and biggest asset given by the God. A healthy person could only contribute to the society, he added.He said that today the main reason of many serious diseases was food grains. Every person was getting sick due to the excessive use of chemicals and pesticides. He said that the state government has launched a campaign on natural farming in the state to provide healthy food. He hoped that by 2022, Himachal would become a complete natural farming state.He said that the changes in our routine life also have adverse affect on our body and the strength of our body has decreased. Pollution was also a big reason of it, he said.Earlier, the Governor honoured the doctors giving their services in the medical camp.On the occasion, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal welcomed the Governor and said that team of doctors were investigating the health of people at the small location of Hamirpur at Kangu for which the Him Mitra Lok Kalyan Sanstha deserve appreciation. He said that the work of humanity through the organization was commendable.President, Him Mitra Sarv Kalyan Sanstha Vijay Sharma detailed various activities of the organization for the welfare of the people of the area. BJP Sangathan Mahamantri Pawan Rana, former Minister Ravinder Ravi, Vice-Chancellor HP University Prof. Sikander Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Richa Verma, Superintendent of Police Arjit Sen and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
