One-Act Play ‘Mitti da Bawa’ showcased at LPU Stage

Written by acclaimed play-wright Pali Bhupinder, One-act play ‘Mitti da Bawa’ was showcased at the stage of Lovely Professional University. University student- artists from LPU School of Performing Arts depicted excellently the issue of cross-border tension, and the woes of soldiers of both the countries-India and Pakistan. All the characters showcased the pangs and pain of ‘Partition’. The touching play brought into focus how it devastated humanity and left unhealed wounds even after 70 years of independence for both the countries.It propagated that sometimes it is hard to choose between being a great citizen of a country or to be a great human being. This theatrical masterpiece depicted story of two soldiers of two nations, who struggled to save the friendship they had developed being across the borders during war between their nations.
