A meeting to implement PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna held

A meeting to discuss the strategy for successful implementation of "PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna" in Himachal Pradesh was held here today under the chairpersonship of Additional Chief Secretary Revenue Manisha Nanda. Nanda said that this is hundred percent Centrally Sponsored Scheme and the operation guidelines of this scheme was available on agricoop.nic.in . She said that as per operational guidelines, data base Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, soil health card, socio economic and caste census could also be utilised for this purpose. She said that Director Agriculture would be the State Nodal Officer for this scheme. The State Nodal Officer would submit a district wise e-signed list of SMF to Program Division of DAC through PM Kisan Portal. Nanda said that under this scheme a small and marginal landholder farm family is defined as a family comprising of husband, wife and minor children who collectively own cultivable land upto two hectares as per the land records of the concerned State or Union territory. She said that data entries would be done in a campaign mode at the district and block level by outsourcing and pooling resources. 

She said that essential data capturing of farmer attributes having Aadhar No. or any other ID proof like Voter ID proof or bank account number.Joint Secretary Ministry of Agriculture GoI Amitabh Gautam apprised operational guidelines of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna  in the meeting. He said that the scheme's benefit will be accrued from first December 2018 for the current year 2018-19. He said that the total amount will be 6000 per annum in the equal installments. First installment will be credited in the accounts of the eligible beneficiaries by 31 March 2019.He said that this scheme will be implemented in time bound manner by all the departments and stakeholders and the farmers should be informed by various means of publicity. Rakesh Kanwar Director Rural Development, D.S Negi  Director Land Records, Director Agriculture, Senior Technical Director NIC Ajay Singh Chahal, representatives of Horticulture Department and Civil Supplies   Department  were present in the meeting.
