Captain Amarinder Singh bestows award for best performance and infrastructure to DC at India Today conclave

In a rare honour for the district, the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today bestowed award for best performance and infrastructure district category to Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma.The award was given by the Chief Minister to Mr Sharma during India Today the State of the State Conclave at Hotel JW Marriot. Jalandhar district has been selected for the award based on stellar performance of the district in fields of Infrastructure, Education, Health, Law and order, Agriculture, Industry, Services,Water and Sanitation, Prosperity and overall best performer. The district has been selected by India today after a detailed survey by the group in all the 22 districts of the state.Meanwhile, expressing pride and satisfaction over the award, the Deputy Commissioner said that this recognition has filled the district administration with even greater commitment to serve people with far more humility and dedication in future. Mr. Sharma said that the district administration was overwhelmed with feelings of boundless humility at being chosen for this rare honour. He said that DIstrict administration owe this coveted award to the various departments, who have worked zealously for ensuring development of district and prosperity of its people. The Deputy Commissioner said that award was a recognition of the concerted efforts and hard work put by all the officers of the district administration. He said that the administration would further continue its effort to serve the people in better manner. Mr Sharma said that the district administration would rededicate itself to the task of greater glory for the district and prosperity of its people.
