DAV plays important role in education sector : Acharya Devvrat

While inaugurating the newly constructed building of BM DAV Public School at Vedic Mohan Ashram, Haridwar in Uttrakhand, Governor Acharya Devvrat  today said that the DAV. institutions have made significant contributions in spreading the ideas of Arya Samaj and playing major role in providing moral based quality  education in the country. He said that people have faith on DAV institutions because children's future was secure here.He said that education contributes to the all-round development of the children, making them cultured and well mannered. He said that education without values was waste of time and DAV institutions was working to carry forward the ideology of culture, civilization, tradition and Vedas in order to create an enlightened society.

Acharya Devvrat said that Swami Dayanand Saraswati was a revolutionary saint, a great Vedic scholar, philosopher and visionary social reformer who sacrificed his life for the sake of nation. He founded Arya Samaj for restoration of Vedic Culture and eradication of social evils. He said that after his sad demise in 1883 his followers decided to open a DAV school in his pious memory and the founder of DAV movement and Arya Samajist were of the opinion that education should be spread to all and message of Vedas should be spread all over the country through education.The Governor honoured the members of DAV College Managing Committee on this occasion,. He also rewarded the meritorious students of the school.President of DAV College Management Committee, New Delhi, Dr. Poonam Suri, welcomed the Governor.A colourful cultured programme was also performed by the students on the occasion.
