Himachal's first CRPF Cobra Training Centre to be opened in Dehra on Himachal : Anurag Thakur

BJP Chief Whip and MP from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha, Anurag Thakur met the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh  today  and requested him to open the CRPF's Cobra Training Center in the Dehra Assembly of Hamirpur Parliamentary Area and start the work as soon as  possible. In a press note issued here today, Anurag Thakur said "The BJP government has given special attention to the internal and external security  system of the country in the last four and a half years and the Modi government is committed to protect the nation. Keeping in mind  Himachal,the land  of brave soldiers , the centre government has started its initiative to set up  the CRPF's Cobra Training Centre  in 226 acres of land in Sapparu and  Jhaklahar village of Haripur tehsil of Dehra assembly segment . The CRPF Cobra Training Center of Dehra will be the first such training center of  Himachal Pradesh.”

He added that he expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and the Central Government to  select his (Thakur’s) parliamentary area  for setting up CRPF's Cobra Training Center and requested the home minister to start the work on this project  as soon as possible.Speaking further,  Anurag Thakur said, "with the setting up of  CRPF training centre here, it will also be available for  training to  other para-military forces. Simultaneously, with the establishment of this training centre, the state police personnel will not have to move to other states  for various training. Dehra's selection is very good in geographical point of view because the area has the connectivity of both the national highways  and the airport .”He further said that the Jairam Government of the state has got the assurance of completing all the formalities for the opening of this  training centre in due course. “for which I express my gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Jayaram Thakur ,” added thakur.
