District Development Commissioner,  Angrez Singh Rana, today visited far flung snow bound areas of Marwah to review stock and supply of essential commodities in view of inclement weather.The DDC was accompanied by SSP, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SDM Marwah Kaiser Bhavani and other District Officers.The DDC conducted on foot tour of snow bound areas covered with 2 feet snow and inspected the availability of essential commodities and other necessary facilities for the local people. He also inspected functioning of government offices in the backdrop of certain complaints regarding absenteeism in the area.Taking cognizance of negligent and careless attitude of several district officers and their staff serving in remote areas of the district, the DDC ordered withholding of salaries of erring District Officers.During his visit to the PHC Marwah, the DDC took strong notice of unhygienic condition and lack of doctors and para medical staff and other facilities in the health center. He placed BMO Marwah Anil Kumar under suspension with immediate effect for dereliction of  duty.

He appointed ADDC as an Enquiry Officer for conducting enquiry into the alleged irregularities under Rogi Kalyan Scheme and pathetic conditions of PHC Marwah.Interacting with the locals, the DDC was apprised of several emergent issues like clearance of pending payments under MGNREGA since 2016, revoking of hike in Air fare, non availability of doctors and paramedical staff at Marwah, absence of doctorsetc.The DDC issued on spot directions to the concerned departments to look into all these issues for an early redressal.He directed concerned officers to withhold the salaries and furnish the list of those officials who are not regularly attending their duties.The public also projected demands including speedy snow clearance from Yourdoo to Teller and Hyna to Bhata, deployment of Gang coolies for clearance of bridal track from Dachhan to Marwah and Marwah to Warwan and deployment of veterinary doctors in the area.
