Police Of PS Maqsudan Arrested 04 Narcotic Smugglers And Seized 02 Kg Heroin

On the directions issued by Naunihal Singh, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Jalandhar Range, Jalandhar, Sh. Navjot Singh Mahal, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural) and on the guidelines issued by Sh. Balkar Singh, PPS, SP/Investigation and Sh. Digvijay Kapil, PPS, DSP/Kartarpur a special drive has been launched against narcotic smugglers and anti social elements.  The Jalandhar police received a major success when Sub-Inspr. Ramandeep Singh, SHO, PS Maqsudan alongwith police party arrested 01 Nigerian based lady, 01 lady and 01 person of Mizoram State and 01 person of Delhi (total 04 narcotic smugglers) and recovered 02 KG of heroin and one blue colour Swift car bearing registration No. PB-01-N-0240 from them.While addressing the press conference, Sh. Navjot Singh Mahal, PPS, SSP/Jalandhar (Rural) intimated that SI Ramandeep Singh, SHO, PS Maqsudan alongwith police party conducted special nakabandi near Railway Crossing, Adda Bidhipur. At about 06:30 PM one Swift car bearing registration No. PB-01-N-0240 which was being driven very fast was intercepted by the police party.  

The driver of the car revealed his identity as Amir Ali s/o Mohamad Naim r/o WZ, Street No. 16, Krishnapuri, Tilak Nagar Delhi (Presently resident of WZ 12A Room No. 07, 2nd  Floor, Vill Asalatpur Janakpuri, Delhi whereas the lady sitting on the front seat revealed her identity as Maphiue (Age 40 years) W/o Telle R/o Tuthangi Aizawal Mizoram (Presently resident of House No. 17, Village Asalatpur, Janakpuri, Delhi.  The persons sitting on the back seat were identified as Chauthatgpuii (Age 30 years) D/o Pachuau R/o Chaltlang Bethel Colony Aizawal Mizoram C/o A-1/85 A Chanakya Palace Part-1 Uttam Nagar West Delhi C/o H.No WZ 12A Room No.7 Second Floor Village Asaltpur Janakpuri Delhi and  OHAS UGO (Age 20 years) S/o Ohas @ Chimezie R/o Oli City Logesh, Nigeria (Presently resident of Nawada near Uttam Nagar, Delhi. Chauthatgpuii was carrying a purple colour Teddy Bear on her lap while Ohas Ugo was carrying a plastic bag upon his thighs containing 01 Ltr pack of Tropicana Orange Juice and one box of Nestle A+ Slim.  Upon checking of the teddy bear, 01 kg of heroin was recovered from it and on checking of packet of Tropicana Orange Juice and Nestle A+Slim, 01 kg of heroin was recovered.  Thus a total of 02 Kg of heroin was recovered.  In this regard, case FIR No. 01 dated 04-01-2019 u/s 21/29-61-85 NDPS Act was registered in PS Maqsudan, district Jalandhar (Rural).  A deep probe into the matter from the accused persons is being conducted.
