Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said here on Thursday that Party’s fierce commitment, honesty and governance had endeared it to the people of the country, who see AAP as the only hope on this political landscape. He was addressing a meeting of block-level party leadership here at his office residence. He said that during the 70-year long tenure of leading political parties, including the Congress, Akali Dal and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), people of the country had suffered a lot. They did nothing for the welfare of the people of the country, except for plundering the country like foreign invaders. He said that people of the country never stop talking about the Mohalla clinics set up in the capital and bringing drastic changes in the schools in terms of providing better health care and quality education to students in Delhi. He said even Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh are bereft of such seamless facilities as provided by the AAP government in Delhi. He held politicians responsible behind depriving the people of such essential facilities. He further added that in the state of Punjab, people had rejected the SAD-BJP government for its anti-people policies.Lambasting the Captain-led Congress government in the state, he said the government had failed to live up to the aspirations of the people.

The government has miserably failed to fulfill the promises it made to the people during the elections. Fed up with their anti-people policies, people of the state see AAP as their true redeemer. He called upon all party workers to shun their petty interests and feud and put up a united front to fight the fascist forces.A special question-answer session was later held where party office-bearers interacted with the Delhi leadership and exchanged their views.Speaking on the occasion, deputy chief minister Munish Sisodia said that people of Punjab have reposed their abiding faith in the AAP by electing as many as 7000 ‘panches’ and ‘sarpanches’ in the recently-held Panchayat polls in the state.Sisodia further said that some vested interests were trying to create a wedge between Delhi and Punjab, which, he said, was a mere ploy to mislead people of the state for their petty ends. They need to be told in no unequivocal terms that that a Punjabi is an Indian first. The significant contribution made by the brave Punjabi in the country’s freedom is a living example of their being one. He said ‘stern action’ against such forces had become necessary for the party to come out of the jinx.On the occasion Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann said that discipline was first and foremost for the smooth run of a household or n organization. He said that AAP had been fighting for the interests of the peoples and would continue to do so in the future also. He further said the party was committed to take forward the public-centric issues to the conclusive end.Others who addressed the meeting included leader of opposition, Harpal Singh Cheema, core committee chairman principal Budh Ram,  Aman Arora (MLA), and many more.
