Balwant Thakur, former Consultant-cum-Regional Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) J&K, and Director of “Natrang Theatre Group” met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.Sh. Thakur, a Padma Shri Awardee, apprised Governor about the dramatic performances staged by the Natrang Group and shared his views regarding preservation and promotion of the traditional art forms of the Jammu and Kashmir.Complimenting Sh. Thakur for Natrang’s continuing contribution towards strengthening theatre activities in the State, Governor emphasized the usefulness of street plays and other cultural activities which disseminate powerful social messages and highlight the problems of the common masses.
