Developmental works would be undertaken as per MLAs priorities : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister said the government was ensuring that development of all areas was as per the demands and needs of the concerned MLA. He said the one year's tenure of the government was aimed at fulfilling the needs and aspirations of the people of the state and Jan Manch was one of the major initiatives in this direction for redressal of the public grievances.He was presiding over the MLAs priorities meeting of MLAs of Mandi, Kullu and Bilaspur districts held here today in the afternoon session.He said that the state government has ensured that all the areas of the State get their due share in matter of development. He has already visited 63 Vidhan Sabha areas of the State to ensure a personal contact with the masses. The previous state government due to its financial mismanagement left the State with a loan burden of Rs 46,500 crore. He said that it would be ensured that adequate provision was made in the budget for all the schemes launched by the State Government.

District Mandi

MLA, Karsog Hira Lal urged the Chief Minister for developing Tattapani, Mahunag and Kamaksha Mata from tourism point of view.MLA, Sunder Nagar Rakesh Jamwal said that efforts should be made for adequate water supply scheme for Sundernagar town. He urged for providing adequate funds for maintenance of roads in his area.MLA, Nachan  Vinod Kumar urged for excluding five Panchayats of his Assembly constituency included under TCP.  He said that his area be included under 'Nai Rahaein, Nai Manzilein' scheme launched by the state government. MLA, Darang Jawahar Thakur said that DPRs for various developmental projects should be prepared in a stipulated time period. He urged for developing Parashar from tourism point of view and promoting indigenous breed of cows.MLA, Jogindernagar Prakash Rana urged for strengthening road network in his area. He said that some roads constructed in rural areas should be maintained properly and special provision be made in the budget. He also demanded adequate staff in education and health institutions.MLA, Balh  Inder Singh Gandhi urged for providing adequate staff in health institutions in Balh area. He said that Nalsar lake in the area should be developed from tourism point of view. He also urged for solving the power issue in the upper Balh area.MLA, Sarkaghat Col. Inder Singh said that special thrust should be laid on maintenance of rural roads. He also stressed the need to provide adequate irrigation facilities in his area. He also urged for upgradation of Sarkaghat from Nagar Panchayat to Nagar Parishad. 

District Kullu

MLA, Kullu Shri Sunder Singh Thakur said that thrust should be laid on proper maintenance of roads, which was adversely affecting the tourism sector in the State. He also laid stress on maintenance of Manikaran road in his area.MLA, Banjar Surender Singh Shourie urged the Chief Minister for providing solid waste management treatment plant for Banjar town. He also urged for developing cycling tracks and rock climbing sites in Banjar area.

MLA, Ani  Kishori Lal said that construction of roads in the area should be accorded priority. He said that some minor roads could be taken in hand by providing adequate funds for the same. He also urged for maintaining old Kuhals in the area for providing irrigation facilities to the farmers.Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anil Kumar Khachi conducted the proceedings of the meeting.Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh, Power Minister Anil Sharma, Forest Minister Govind Thakur, Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board Ramesh Dhawala, Additional Chief Secretaries Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Manoj Kumar and R.D. Dhiman, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Deputy Commissioners of Mandi, Kullu and Bilaspur attended the meeting.
