Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone flags off students on exposure tour under Youth Exchange Programme

Secretary Social Welfare Department, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone, today flagged-off a batch of 243 orphan students of the state to Lucknow and Delhi on 15-day exposure tour under Youth Exchange Programme- ‘Wattan Ko Jano’.The programme is being organized by the State Rehabilitation Council of Social Welfare Department. Under the programme, students shall be getting the knowledge of various cultures of the country and development of the other states which will help them in future endeavours.While addressing the students, Dr. Lone appreciated the efforts of the Department for initiating this programme which will benefit the students for the betterment of their future. He asked the students to get more benefits of the schemes sponsored by the centre and state governments for their uplift. Director Social Welfare Jammu, Vir Ji Hangloo, Mission Director ICPS, G A Sofi, Executive Director of Council, Rifat and other senior officers of the Social Welfare Department were present on the occasion.
