Jai Ram Thakur announces PWD sub-division, mini secretariat at Jhandutta

While addressing a public awareness function at Jhandutta in Bilaspur district today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of PWD sub-division besides construction of mini secretariat at Jhandutta.Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government has announced a new and ambitious scheme Atal Adarsh Aawasiya Shiksha Yojana for the state from Berthin for the meritorious students of the state, so that they can compete with the students studying in convent schools for which provision of Rs. 25 crore has been made. He said that ten Adarsh schools would be opened in the state under this scheme which would be residential schools and special facilities would be provided to the students studying there.The Chief Minister said that the present state government has completed eleven months in office and during this period, several welfare schemes have been launched for welfare and development of every the sections of the society. In order to ensure that pace of development get a boost, he has visited 58 assembly constituencies of the state. The government was endeavouring that those areas gets preference in matter of development which remained neglected so far due to one reason or other. He said that he himself belongs to a humble background and was well aware of the developmental demands and aspirations of the people of the state.He said that when the present government assumed the office, the state was reeling under the loan burden of Rs 46,500 crore due to the financial mismanagement of the previous government. He said that during this period, the state government has already succeeded in getting developmental projects worth Rs. 6300 crore sanctioned from the Union government while central projects worth crores of rupees were in the pipeline.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Union government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was committed to make India a world power and it was the need of the hour that leadership of the nation remains in the strong hands of Narendra Modi.He said that Himachal Pradesh was poised to become the first state of the country to have gas connection in every house hold. For this the state government has launched Ghirini Suvidha Yojna under which free LPG connections were being provided to left out households. The Mukhiya Mantri Swavlamban Yojna has also been launched for providing financial assistance to the youth to start their self employment opportunities.He announced opening of health sub centre at Gugga-Geharwin and expansion of PWD rest house at Jhandutta. He said that efforts would be made to develop industrial area at Geharwin. He also announced Rs 2 lakh each for ten Mahila Mandals of the area.The Chief Minister laid foundation stone of 33KV sub-station at Berthin constructed at a cost of Rs 5.96 crore. This would solve the voltage problem of the area and benefit several villages of the area.He launched Atal Adarsh Aawasiya Shiksha Yojna for the state from Atal Adarsh Avasiya Vidyalaya at Berthin and released a booklet on this scheme on the occasion.The Chief Minister laid foundation stone of augmentation of water supply scheme Sargal-Kotla-Berthin at Berthin to be constructed at a cost of about Rs 3.49 crore. This scheme would benefit over 8000 population of about 24 habitations of the area.He laid foundation stones of water supply scheme Tungri-Kajali-Samoh-Vijay at Kajail to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.90 crore, circular road Jhandutta to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.96 crore, Mukhya Mantri Lok Sadan to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore and Skill Development Sports Training Centre, Jhandutta at Behran to be constructed at a cost of Rs 92 lakh.Various social, cultural, political organizations and associations felicitated the Chief Minister on the occasion.Mandal BJP and Panchayat Chowkidar Union weighed the Chief Minister in coins. 

The amount so collected was contributed towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.Speaking on the occasion, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that Atal Adarsh Aawasiya Shiksha Yojna scheme aims at providing best residential school in the rural area of the State. He said that the very first decision of the State Government was aimed at welfare of the weaker section of the society. Old age pension being provided to the people of State without any income limit was lowered from 80 years to 70 years, which has benefitted over 1.30 lakh old people of the State, he added.Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth crores of rupees for Jhandutta area. He said that the Atal Adharsh schools would prove a boon to the meritorious students of the area, as they would get an opportunity to get quality education nearer to their homes. He said that the pervious state government failed to make budget allocation of even a single pie for railways, although the centre government had sanctions crores of rupees for strengthening railways network for the State. He said that Hydro Engineering College and AIIMS were sanctioned for the State by the present Union Government, which were being opened in Bilaspur district.MLA Jhundatta Jeet Ram Katwal detailed various developmental demands of the constituency. He thanked the Chief Minister for choosing his constituency for launch of Atal Adarsh Aawasiya Shiksha Yojna in the State. He said the 33 KV sub-station, foundation stone of which was laid by the Chief Minister today would solve the power problem of the area. He said that all the schemes foundation stones of which were laid by the Chief Minister today have been allocated adequate budget and would be completed within the stipulated time period.Pradhan of the Local Gram Panchayat Rakesh Chandel and Mandal BJP President Subash Minhas welcomed the Chief Minister and others present on the occasion.MLA Subash Thakur, Chief Spokesman State BJP Randhir Sharma, Political Advisor to the CM Trilok Jamwal, Vice Chairman, State Handicraft and Handloom Corporation Sanjiv Katwal, District BJP Chief Rakesh Gautam, OSD to the CM Mahender Dharmani, former MLA Rikhi Ram Kondal also were present on the occasion among others.
