Special prayers, Milad processions mark 'Eid e Milad ul Nabi' (SAW) in valley

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), was observed with religious fervor in Kashmir valley on Wednesday with the biggest congregational prayers at Dargah Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar which houses the holy relic of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).Men and women from different parts of the Valley thronged to  Hazratbal to participate in night-long prayers on the occasion.Emotional scenes were witnesses at sight of Holy relic at Hazratbal were thousands of devotees assembled at noon, zuhar, prayers Night long prayers were held across the valley at all the major shrines Authorities had put additional number of vehicles in service to ferry the devotees and a special route plan was issued for smooth vehicular movement. Divisional administration had made arrangements of security and other necessary facilities for the devotees.

Reports reaching KNO that the special congregational prayers were also organized at Jenab Sahab Soura, Asar-e-Sharif Shahri Kalashpora, Lal Bazar, Khanqah-e-Maula, Ziarat Hazrat Dastgeer Sahab (RA), Syed Yaqoob Sahab (RA) Sonwar, Khawaja Naqshband Sahab (RA) and Ziarat Makhdoom Sahib (RA). Special prayers were also held at Masjids and shrines in Islamabad mainly at Jamia Masjid Reshi Sahab, Khiram Sirhama, Kaba Marg, Dooru and Seer Hamdan. The Milad processions were also taken out from Habba Kadal, Bemina, Nowgam, Dalgate, Chanapora, Soibug, Kralpora, Bijbehara town and other parts of the Valley.The reports of Milad procession were also received from other districts of the Valley. Prime minister Narendra Modi, President of India Ram Nath Kovind, Governor J&K Satya Pal Malik, his Advisors, other officers and various political parties have extended greetings to the people on Eid-e-Milad and also prayed for the peace of the state.(KNO)
