Peace Foundation Chairman Fayaz Bhat called on Governor

The Chairman of Peace Foundation Fayaz Ahmad Bhat called on Hon'ble Governor Satya Pal Malik at Rajbhawan Jammu. Fayaz Ahmad Bhat briefed him about present situation and various activities of the Foundation, all of which are aimed at promoting peace and strengthening communal harmony in the J&K State. Bhat also discussed the role of Peace Foundation which has been patronized by Late G. M Rajpuri, Late Padma Shri Bal Raj Puri and Former Governors of J & K State,Late Gen S. K Sinha and Shri N. N Vohra from last 27 years. He said Peace Foundation has also worked to strengthen the peace process of J&K during the turmoil under the Prime-Ministership of Former Prime Minister, Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.Fayaz Ahmad Bhat highlighted the role of Peace Foundation which is to bridge the gap between community to community, region to region and between Government of India and people of the J & K state to develop an aroma of peace, prosperity and development. 

He discussed about the ongoing situation of Kashmir valley and losing of the precious lives and our future youth, He said all the people at large should join hands for ensuring lasting peace and strengthening communal harmony and brotherhood to restore the past glory of the State as an abode of peace and tranquility. While adding Bhat said our State emphasized the need for promoting deeper understandings, communal harmony and brotherhood for establishing lasting peace and normalcy which would pave the way for rapid all round progress and a bright future for the State. He said Peace Foundation has always come forward in a big way to contribute towards achieving this goal and make our state prosper in every field.Fayaz Ahmad Bhat appealed Governor to reinitiate peace dialogue process with general public to ensure sprit of peace and development in the Kashmir valley.The Governor complimented Mr. Bhat and his colleagues for the laudable initiatives being taken by the Foundation which would contribute towards the promotion of peace and amity and strengthening communal harmony in the State.
