Arrangements for AB-PMJAY implementation reviewed at Kathua

District Development Commissioner Kathua, Rohit Khajuria, today chaired a meeting here to finalize the arrangements for implementation of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) in the district.ADC Basholi, Sanjay Gupta, ADC Billawar, Joginder Singh Rai, CEO, Bishan Singh, CMO, Dr. Ashok Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent DH Kathua, ADMO Kathua, Dr. Vikram Jamwal, SDMs and other concerned attended the meeting.The scheme being implemented from December 01 in the district, is aimed at providing health protection cover to poor and vulnerable families to reduce their out-of-pocket expenditure on healthcare.The insurance coverage under AB-PMJAY will be Rs 5 lakh per family per annum with no cap on the family size. Every family under the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) database will be entitled to claim the benefits under the scheme.

During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held with regard to the implementation of the scheme wherein DDC stressed to work with added zeal and enthusiasm for its effective implementation. He emphasized to work in coordination and cooperation so that the benefits of the scheme are yielded by the beneficiaries.He further directed the ADCs of Billawar and Basholi beside SDM of Bani to conduct a meeting with their respective BMOs for timely implementation of the scheme in far-flung areas.Moreover, DDC stressed on training, capacity building, team-building and time-bound progress monitoring by concerned nodal officers. He also laid emphasis on the involvement of schools and Anganwari centres in the mission to ensure percolation of benefits to all eligible families in the district.He further informed that a District Grievance Redressal Committee is being constituted under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner with Chief Medical Officer as convener to handle and resolve grievances under PMJAY in the district.
