DC Samba flags-off ‘Ayushman Bharat Rath’

Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sushma Chauhan, flagged-off ‘Ayushman Bharat Rath’ under Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) here today.Speaking on the occasion, the DC, who is also the Chairperson of District Health Society, informed that a total of four Government Hospitals including District Hospital Samba, CHC Ramgarh, EH Vijaypur and AH Ghagwal besides three private hospitals—Shri Aum Hospital Bari Brahmana, St Joseph Hospital Barjani( Bari brahmana), and Kristu Jyoti Hospital Samba—were empanelled in district Samba, so far, under the programme.Chief Medical Officer, Samba, Dr Rajinder Samyal said that Jan Arogya Mitras and Medical coordinators for the empanelled Government Hospitals were trained and placed to facilitate the beneficiaries. He informed that in District Samba, a total beneficiary families in urban areas are 3058 and 9184 in rural areas.It was further informed that the Ayushman Bharat Rath will cover the whole district of Samba in seven days to give wide publicity to PMJAY scheme under which health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakhs will be given to the poor and vulnerable families.Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rakesh Magotra and other health officials were also present on the occasion.
