Rs. 27 crore will be spent on tourist culture centre Deemkataroo

The State Government was committed for the alround and balanced development of the State with special focus on those areas which have remained neglected so far. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said this while addressing the Seraj Mandal Milan Programme here today.Chief Minister said that the ten month tenure of the state government had been full of achievements and the government has also succeeded in getting developmental projects worth over Rs. 9000 crores sanctioned from the Union government. This had been possible due to the benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that not only this, the Union government had provided all possible help to the state during the recent untimely snowfall in Lahaul Spiti, where hundreds of stranded people were airlifted by seven helicopters provided by the Centre.Jai Ram Thakur said that Mandal Milan Programme would be held regularly so as to ensure better coordination and understanding between the State Government and the Party. He said that Seraj Vidhan Sabha area would be developed as an ideal Assembly constituency of the State. He said that apart from it, regular meetings would be held with various frontal organizations of the Party such as Kisan Morcha, Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Scheduled Caste Morcha and Minority Morcha. He said that it would be made a regular feature so that the Party could be strengthened at all levels.Chief Minister said that the BDO office sanctioned at Balichowki would go a long way in fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of the area. He said that he would soon lay the foundation stone of Combined Office (Mini Secretariat) building at Thunag to facilitate the people. 

He said that work on construction of the Degree College at Thachi would be started soon.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was laying special focus on development of Seraj area as it was due their support that the area got opportunity to head the State. He said that during his recent visit to the Jhenjheli area, he had laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 55 crore which would open new vistas of progress, development and prosperity in the area. He said that the tourist culture centre to be constructed at Deemkataroo would give big boost to the tourism development in the state. He said that for this a provision of Rs. 27 crore has been made. He said the area had immense tourism potential and it would be harnessed in a planned and sustainable way. He said that Janjehli had been brought under eco-tourism project to make the area as a major tourist destination.Jai Ram Thakur said that Rs. 41 crores had been sanctioned for Balichowki area for providing water supply scheme and a bus stand would also be constructed at Janjehli in near future. He said that efforts would be made to construct the helipad of Janjehli soon to facilitate the high end tourists to visit this beautiful place. He said that in the coming times, efforts would also be made to link Janjehli with heli taxi service.Seraj Mandal BJP President Sher Singh thanked the Chief Minister for sanctioning BDO office for Balichoki. He said that people of the area would work dedicatedly for strengthening the Party.Senior Congress Leader of the area Hari Singh Mahant and Pradhan Gram Panchayat Thachi joined the BJP on the occasion.Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh, Chairman MILKFED Nihal Chand Sharma, MLA Kishori Lal and other office bearers of Seraj were present on the occasion among others.
