After Moga By-Poll Congress To Hold ‘Shok Shivir’ At Moti Mehal-Sukhbir

Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab today said that Moga By-poll, the maiden election after the ‘Chintan Shivir’ drama, would force Congress party to hold ‘Shok Shivir’ at Moti Mehal Patiala as development oriented SAD-BJP alliance was all set to register an historic victory. He also advised Punjab Congress to hire the services of expert election ‘decimator’, newly crowned Rahul Gandhi for their last poll campaign.
Addressing the massive gathering after inducting 100 traditional Congress families into the party folds at village Khosa Pando, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the ‘Shok Shivir’ would also give an opportunity to Congress President Sonia Gandhi to lay true tears this time, while performing the last rites of Punjab Congress. He said that teeth less paper tigers of Punjab Congress could not save the sinking ship of Congress party and Shiromani Akali Dal campaigning on its development agenda was looking for the bigger challenge by giving an opportunity to Rahul Gandhi to see the trailer of their decimation in 2014 to save him from future shock.
Reiterating his commitment of overall development of Moga, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the victory of SAD-BJP candidate Mr. Joginder Pal Jain was must to ensure the speedy development of the area as Congress MLAs were instructed by their high command to hinder all the development activities initiated by SAD-BJP government in their areas so that issueless Congress party could make non-development of those areas an issue in its future negative poll campaigns. He said that this was the major issue which forced Jain to quit Congress and join Shiromani Akali Dal, otherwise no one could dare to resign to seek the mandate again. Mr. Badal regretted the negative statements issued by some Punjab Congress leaders that all the development projects of SAD-BJP government were funded by Union government and said that Congress led UPA Government has haemorrhaged all states by the way of taking away 70 percent of central taxes collected in that state and returning only 1.3 percent, that too as a loan. He said that Shiromani Akal Dal had been demanding review of revenue sharing formula so that states could get minimum 50 percent in the taxes collected by Centre.
Leading an aggressive campaign in the favour of SAD-BJP candidate Mr. Joginder Pal Jain for the 9th consecutive day, Mr. Badal said that Shiromani Akali Dal has always keeps its promises and that is why people of Punjab re-elected them consecutively. He said that alliance was committed to give relief to all sections of society from the inflammatory and corrupt policies of Congress led UPA government and for the purpose it has implemented all of its promises may it be in the areas such as industrial, trade and agriculture sectors by giving them subsidies and abolition of octroi, or ensuring the social welfare through schemes like old-age pension, shagun, atta-dal scheme and cycles for girl students. Mr. Badal today campaigned in the villages Duneke, Khosa Pando, Ratia and Jogewala.
