Committee of Governors submits report on "Approach to Agriculture: A Holistic Overview'' to the President

Five members committee of Governors including Governor of Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat today presented a report on "Approach to Agriculture: A Holistic Overview" to the President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.The committee of Governors was constituted during Governor's conference, 2018 to suggest measures and approach which would be helpful in doubling the income of farmers' by 2022. It also detailed various facets including food security, health and energy security, water and environmental security in the report to prevent migration from rural areas to urban areas and also to reduce the rural-urban divide.Ram Naik, Governor, Uttar Pradesh, Vajubhai Vala, Governor, Karnataka, Anandiben Patel , Governor of Madhya Pradesh were present in the committee.
