Arrangements reviewed for conduct of Mega Legal Services Camp in Anantnag

The district administration in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Anantnag is organising a Mega Legal Services Camp at Anantnag on 25 October, 2018, for which arrangements were today reviewed in a meeting held here at DakBunglow Khannabal, under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik in presence of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag Syed Tawqeer Ahmad.The DDC, on the occasion directed the district officers to make the event successful and to establish stalls and keep printed material available on the stalls to aware the public about various central/state sponsored schemes and flagship programmes. The DDC directed Dy CMO Anantnag, District Social Welfare Officer Anantnag, Dy. Director Fisheries Anantnag, NRLM, DUDA, Dy. Director Employment, AD Handicrafts and other concerned department heads to ensure the presence of beneficiaries on the said date.The Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag Syed Tawqeer Ahmad, on the occasion sought the cooperation of the District Administration for organizing such a great event in the district. He also informed the meeting that Chief Justice of the J&K, High Court will be Chief Guest on the occasion. 

He asked the district officers to keep the information of the various schemes being implemented in the district available on the stalls. He further stated that the aim of organising Mega Legal Services Camp is to provide easy access to justice, enable citizens to have their voices heard, exercise their rights and challenge discrimination. To take appropriate measures for spreading legal literacy and legal awareness amongst the people and, in particular, to educate weaker sections of the society about the rights, benefits and privileges guaranteed by the social welfare legislation, he further said.The meeting was also attended by ADC, Anantnag, General Manager Industries, Anantnag, Deputy CMO, ACD, Anantnag, District Social Welfare Officer, District Animal Husbandry, Sheep, Dy. Director Fisheries, AD, Handicrafts, AD F&CS, DD Employment, Xen R&B, Anantnag, Representatives of Duda, NRLM, JKEDI, Cooperative Bank, Yes Bank, State Bank of India, Canara Bank, District Lead Bank Manager, Anantnag other officers from Line Departments & NGOs including, Humanity Welfare, & Mother helpage.
