Sainik School students shine in country and abroad : Om Prakash Soni

Students of the Sainik School, a pride of Punjab, have brought accolades for the Punjab and with their achievements, they shine like a star in country and abroad. This was stated by Punjab Education Minister Om Prakash Soni, who presided over the Awards Distribution Ceremony of 57th annual athletics meet at Sainik School, here.Education Minister categorically said that 1100 military officers, including 50 Lieutenant General and Major Generals, are serving in the country after passing out from the Sainik School. Congratulating the students, he said that they are very fortunate to study in such a prestigious institution. "Students, studied in such a coveted institutions, never failed in their life and definitely get higher posts in their career, he said.After giving away prizes to the winners of the three-day Athletics Meet, Mr Soni said that they are the founders of the future, hence they should work diligently and with full dedication to achieve their goals.         

On this occasion, Cadets have march past under the banner of their respective houses coupled with wonderful presentation of the world famous band of school. Likewise, Mass PT show took the centre stage and students grab the attention of the audience through gymnastics, aerobics, and other amazing skills. Apart from this, women race and Bhangra were the center of attraction.Earlier, Principal of Sainik School Colonel Vikas Mohan and the Administration Officer leutinet Commander Dilpreet Singh Kang warmly welcomed Education Minister and other dignitaries and apprised them of the achievements of the school.As per results, Bhagat House has won the championship trophy in senior category whereas Cadet Sumit Singh declared the best athlete. Similarly, Motilal House of Junior Category gained the first position and Cadet Alok remained the best athlete in junior category. Nalwa House has been chosen first from the category of the Holding Houses and the Cadet Himalayas is the best athlete in this category.Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Tayyab, Commandant of In-Service Training Center, Kapurthala Mr. Rajpal Sandhu, ADC (G) Mr. Rahul Chaba and other were present on this occasion.
