Demands Immediate Roll Back Of Oil Prices, Moga To Teach Congress An Historic Lesson For Its Anti People Policies

Sukhbir Singh Badal, President Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab today lashed at Congress led Union government for rising petrol prices by rupees 1.50 and diesel by 45 paisa, and termed this oil price hike as an exercise of UPA government to camouflage the latest Chopper scam of the Congress party. Demanding immediate roll back of hike in oil prices, Mr. Badal said that the Congress party was deliberately destroying the economy of the country just to cover its misdeeds. Replying to a media query while campaigning for SAD-BJP candidate for Moga by-poll Mr. Joginder Pal Jain, Mr. Badal said that after the disclosure of the involvement of Rahul Gandhi’s close aide Kanishka Singh in the Chopper scam, this oil price hike was the attempt of Congress party to pert the attention of people. He said that UPA had followed the same agenda to protect Robert Vadra by rising LPG prices at the time when he was in news for multi crores scam. Mr. Badal held the UPA responsible of financial losses running into crores of rupees owing to Congress party’s various scams that have come to the fore, and rued that this colossal amount of money could have been used for subsidising the oil prices to check the inflation.

Demanding the immediate roll back of fuel prices, Mr. Badal said that the price hike of rupees 1.50 of petrol and 45 paise per litre of diesel was totally unacceptable because the Centre has already taken it to the height. He said that during last one year, the petrol prices were raised by Rs12, the diesel prices were raised by Rs8. And now, the government wants to increase it further by Rs10 diesel and Rs10 petrol, which was absolutely atrocious. He said that this would increase the prices of all commodities and people would have to pay heavily for all transports.

Accusing the Congress-led UPA Government of complete destruction of Indian economy, the Shiromnai Akali Dal President said that after destroying the Indian economy and putting agriculture, industial and trade sector in a massive debt trap the useless congress party was now further trying to squeeze these sectors by rising oil prices. He said that party would oppose all these decision along with all like minded parties as if this process could not stopped now, the end result will be the worst of both agricultural and industrial worlds.

Hitting out at the Congress led UPA government for inflation, corruption and bias towards non-Congress ruled states while addressing the Shivalik Auto Union at Moga, Mr. Badal said that the SAD-BJP government in Punjab has been making consistent efforts to provide relief to all sections of the society. He said that the fact that people of the state rejected Congress two times in a row and voted for SAD-BJP instead was the ample proof of the growing resentment of people, who have been betrayed by the Congress-led UPA Government. Asking them to root out Congress from the state, he appealed to the people of Moga to teach Congress party an historic lesson. Mr. Badal today addressed rallies at ward number 26, near hospital of Micky Gill, ward number 6, ward number 9, ward number 31, ward number 17, ward number 23 and ward number 15.
