12-day induction training Started at Ferozepur by MGSIPA for new employees of District

Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration Punjab (MGSIPA), Regional Centre Bathinda launched (Department of Personal and Training DOPT), Govt. of India sponsored 12 days Induction Training Programme for newly recruited cutting edge level state government functionaries of district Ferozepur  here today. About 60 Group-B (Non-Gazetted) and Group-C employees of different departments of district Ferozepur who were recruited after 31-03-2013 took part in this programme.Launching the Training programme Regional Project Director Bathinda Jarnail Singh emphasized the need of team work and adopting positive attitude in the process of official dealings and disposal of their day-to-day work.He said that in this competitive world, there is a need of upgrading technologies and skills & knowledge of government functionaries at all levels regarding various acts, rules  regulations and office procedures. He said that this kind of approach will help  in increasing our efficiency and quality of delivery services  to the people.He expressed the hope that this programme will be a successful venture and asked the participants to acquire knowledge being imparted by experts  with utmost devotion and dedication..

 Mr. Jarnail Singh, further said  that the MGSIPA  organizes more than 300 programmes every year on various themes and subjects such as Office Procedures, Financial Rules, RTI Act 2005, Sevottom, Audit and Budget, E-Office, E-governance, Gender Issues, Disability related matters, Induction Training Programmes, COMMIT and various other important topics. He said that in recent years, the MGSIPA has considerably has expanded scope of work and activity under the able leadership of Sh. KBS SIDHU IAS, Special Chief Secretary –cum- Director General and Mrs. Raji P. Shrivastva, IAS, Director   MGSIPA, Chandigarh. He said that during the year, MGSIPA has organized such Induction Training programs in four districts of Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Moga, Sri Muktsar Sahib and fifth programme today in Ferozepur in Punjab. He also said that in this 12 days training programme, the participants will be given training in Generic (Soft-Skills) and Domain subjects.

The participants will be made conversant with the schemes of Govt. of India and Punjab, applications of Unicode, revenue Act, Cr. PC, Citizen Charter, Stress Management, Arms and Cinematography Act, Motor Vehicle Act, Art of Noting and Drafting, Office Procedure, Conduct Rules, Record Management, Financial Rules, Civil Service Rules, Audit & Budget, Filing System, Punishment & Appeal Rules, T.A./D.A. Rules, Leave Rules. He said that one-day will be spent on Site Visit and one-day on blood donation camp.On the opening day dr. Nimmi Jindal HOD, Dept. Of Law Punjabi University Regional Center Bathinda delivered first lecture on the subject An Overview of Right to Information Act, 2005 followed by central and state govt. Schemes by Mr. Gurmit Singh Sekhon Advocate Muktsar.   Mr. Mandeep Singh Co-coordinator MGSIPA said that the participants are showing keen interest in the training programme and there is a enthusiastic response  from government offices.. Mr. Arun Chaudhary APRO Ferozepur and Mr. Gurpreet Singh Principal Shaheed Bhagat Singh School Ferozepur attended the function.
