'For the overall development of our country it is necessary that the youth should follow the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi had followed the principle of non-violence for the freedom struggle of India. With which he got an exceptional place in the history. Various other leaders of different countries who were struggling for the independence also followed the principles of Mahatma Gandhi. This was stated by Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, Sports Minister, Punjab while inaugurating the Ethnic India store of Khadi India here at phase-07.Addressing the inaugural function Sports Minister said that Mahatma Gandhi shown the path of Swadeshi which had been proved very beneficial for the country and it was also very important in the present scenario also. This would help in connecting the youth with their rich culture. Sports Minister said that with the opening of Ethnic India store people got a chance for reunion with their cultural roots. 

While taking the round of the store he had especially appreciated the products launched under the brand 'Vichar Vastar'. He said that Punjab Govt. was taking big steps for the betterment of Khadi Industry and getting positive results. Sports Minister said that the State Govt. was working very hard for the development of the state and fulfilling all the promises made during elections. Govt. was continuously providing jobs and also taking big initiatives for the promotion of industrial sector in the state which would further create large number of job opportunities. He promised that no stone would be left upturned to make Punjab the best state of India. He divulged that State Govt. was taking concrete steps in the field of sports and all the necessary facilities would be provided to the sports persons of Punjab. During this inaugural function V.K. Tiwari, State Director of Khadi Village Industries Commission, Rajinder Singh, Smt. Harjot Sodhi, Kanwar Sodhi, Ram Nath, Chairperson of Khetri Punjab Khadi Mandal and Inderjit Singh were also present.
