DDC Rajouri reviews progress under SAUBHAGYA

District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting regarding implementation/progress of SAUBHAGYA scheme in the district.DDC reviewed the scheme division wise and directed the concerned AEEs to complete the electrification and erection of poles where required of their respective division by the end of October.DDC held a threadbare discussion ranging from the procurement of material to the bottlenecks like identification of land for installation of receiving stations and control rooms at Mohargalla, Pathanmohra Nonial, Khandli, Muradpur, Shahdra Shrief and Tatapani under different centrally sponsored schemes.The concerned officials brought to the notice of DDC that identification of land is creating a bottleneck in the completion of receiving stations.DDC assured full cooperation from the administration identification of land and also sought hard work and dedication from the executing agencies, so that development could usher well in this region.

To achieve 100% household electrification under SAUBHAGYA scheme across the District DDC directed all concerned officers to start the intense drive with PDD engineers to identify all illegal connections in their respective areas and regularize them under SAUBHAGYA scheme and electrify the rest within one months’ time. Meanwhile, DDC has ordered initiation of land acquisition proceedings in cases where indent has been placed by the concerned department for setting up 7 new Receiving Stations.While reviewing the projects undertaken by IRCON, DDC directed the concerned officer to expedite the process on the projects under execution and complete them by the end of November. To ensure timely completion and regular monitoring DDC has decided to take fortnightly review of the scheme.The meeting was attended by SE EM&RE circle Rajouri, Xen EM&RED division Rajouri, Xen Project division Rajouri, Xen STD-IV Kalakote and all the AEEs of all divisions and the officers from IRCON.
