DC Hands Over Job Letter To 154 Youth Under ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Scheme’

Says State Government Committed To Provide Job To All The Eligible Youth Of State

Continuing its spree to provide jobs to the unemployed youth of district under the state government’s ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme, the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar Sharma today handed over appointment letter to 154 such youths selected for the jobs during ‘Job Fair’ held at the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology.During the job fair organized by the Employment generation department 408 applicants had applied for the jobs. On the occasion six companies viz. Freewill Sports, OLA Aggregators, V Con Integrated Solutions, LIC of India and Shri Ram Fortune selected 154 such applicants and offered them jobs in their companies. On the occasion 07 applicants were selected by Freewill Sports, 10 by OLA Aggregators, 50 by Shri Ram Fortune, 15 by V Con Integrated Solutions, 22 by LIC of India and 50 by Common Service Centre. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jitendra Jorwal handed over the appointment letters to 172 selected youths.

Complimenting the successful youth, the Deputy Commissioner said that it was a historic day for them as they were going to start a new inning in their lives. He said that it was just a beginning the marvelous success story which all of them were going to script in the future. Mr. Sharma said that the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s dream to provide job to every youth would be fulfilled every soon.The Deputy Commissioner said that many more such job fairs would be organized in coming days to offer employment opportunities to the youth. He said that district administration was already on task of roping in key Industrial Units and leading entrepreneurs to provide job to the youth. Mr. Sharma said that the ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ scheme of the Captain government was all set to transform the destiny of the youth of state by providing job opportunities to them.On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jitendra Jorwal, District Guidance Counselor Mr. Surjit Lal, District Employment Officer Ms. Ranjit Kaur and Employment Officer Mr. Harmanpreet Singh were also present.
