ADDC Shopian reviews implementation of ongoing developmental schemes, programmes

Additional District Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Saleem today stressed on effective monitoring of schemes and programmes being implemented at the grassroots level so that the benefits reach to the masses of the district.He said this while chairing a meeting with the officers of various departments to review their functioning and the activities being carried out for the betterment of the general masses.Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, and concerned District/Sectoral officers. ADDC said the plan for the holistic development in the district needs to be effectively executed.Addressing the meeting, the ADDC asked for ensuring completion of all projects within given time frame and to effectively utilize the funds allocated for various development projects.“All the ongoing works should be expedited for providing better facilities to the masses of the district. Close monitoring of these works also needs to be done to ensure that the things are moving in right direction,” he added.Detailed discussions were made for proper implementation of various schemes for upliftment the common masses.The ADDC discussed briefly all the activities and their impact on the ground with details of funds received and expenditure incurred so far. He also asked for putting in sincere efforts in benefitting the whole population with all the schemes/programmes that are being specially designed for these people.
