DC Poonch reviews performance of banks at DLRC meeting

District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and reviewed the performance of the banks for the quarter ending June 2018.The meeting was attended by Lead District Manager (LDM) D K Bali, LDO RBI Nand Lal, Cluster Head J&k Bank, Director RSETI, DDM NABARD, AD Handloom Arshad Noomani, Functional Manager DIC Waheed Ahmed besides senior functionaries of the concerned Banks and departments.Detailed discussions were held on CD ratios of the banks, identification of beneficiaries, KCC loan cases, flow of credit, assistance under Government sponsored schemes, performance of banks under District Credit Plan (DCP), achievements of SBI RSETI, monitoring initiatives, setting up of Financial Literacy Centers (FLCs) and many alike.District Development Commissioner, while expressing his displeasure over low CD ratio, impressed upon the bankers to put in best efforts to increase the CD ratio by focusing on potential areas.Stressing on spreading of financial literacy among the masses, the DC instructed the banks to conduct awareness camps and directed the concerned departments to install informative stalls regarding benefits of various welfare schemes. The DC asked the Banks and the concerned departments to motivate and identify maximum number of potential beneficiaries under centrally sponsored schemes such as MUDRA, PMJJBY, PMSBY and many more. He also directed for awareness camp and Melas for Education Loans and Housing Loans.Referring to directions of government, the DC asked Lead District Manager to work towards making one Block (Surankote) of the District Completely Cashless. He instructed to provide account holders Rupay Card and install POS system.
