The leaders and activists including Women Wing  leaders led by Janta Dal (United) JD (U) J&K State President G M Shaheen today conducted a tour to Kathua District as part of its ULB and Panchayat elections campaign and appealed various sections of society particularly the youth, students and people of the Jammu region to vote and support JD (U) in the said elections to uphold pride and honour of the people of the state.Shaheen while addressing the mammoth gathering in district Kathua said that having experimented with BJP, Congress, NC and PDP and given them ample opportunities to prove their concern for Jammu, the people of Jammu and Kashmir were an extremely demoralized lot today. “With Congress having receded into the oblivion during the last four years, the role of BJP had disappointed the people of Jammu to the extent that their faith in the political system had been largely shattered,” he maintained. “Modi has given lies and deceit to the people rather than fulfilling the promise he has made to people, as a result, there is a large-scale resentment among the people in the entire Country,” he added and further said that BJP cannot hide behind the politics of polarization and exploitation, as that, people have realized the real face of BJP as they have not fulfilled even a single promise made to the people of the state. He further asserted that people were now eagerly looking forward towards JDU in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions which provided the only ray of hope to the people of the state keeping in view of the peoples’ requests pouring in on day to day basis from various parts of the state and tremendous response being shown by the urban electorates who were coming forward as volunteers in huge numbers to support the party. He added that the party had announced public meetings to be held in various districts of the Jammu and Kashmir state with alternate teams going for door to door campaign to highlight the struggle of the party for the cause of miseries of the people who are still deprived of their fundamental rights and other issues. State Youth President Raja Wasim, Incharge Jammu Nigesh Sarmal, District President Jammu Rachpal Singh, Youth Vice President Keshav Kumar, senior leader Syed Shafi, Mudasir Ahmad and others were also spoke of the occasion.
