Spurious Milk factory sealed

A joint team of food safety and diary department on a tip off conducted a raid at a house in Fateh enclave of Sirhind town and recovered 80 Kg. spurious milk being prepared by using Malto Dextrin powder, and Soybean oil. The factory was being run in the house without a name and the required license in unhygienic condition has been sealed by the district health authorities.Dr. Aditi Gupta Assistant Commissioner Food Safety said that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Shiv Dular Singh Dhillon a campaign has been launched under Mission Tandarust Punjab and raids being conducted to nab adulterators and people are coming forward to provide information about adulterators.She said that 50 kg Malto dextrin powder, 48 kg of soyabean oil and 80 lt spurious milk was seized. She said that team collected samples of all the products and has been sent to a laboratory at Kharar for testing and after receiving the test reports, the legal action will be initiated. She said after taking the samples the milk and other material was got destroyed on the spot.
