Hirdesh Kumar reviews progress of power sector schemes in Samba

To review the progress of ongoing works under centrally sponsored power sector schemes, being executed to ensure 100% electrification to all left  over households, a high level meeting was held at DC office, Samba under the Chairmanship of Commissioner/Secretary, Power Development  Department, Hirdesh Kumar  here today.Superintending Engineer EM&RE Circle Samba-Kathua informed the meeting that out of total target of 11405  Households to be electrified,  3980 households have been electrified till date and the process to provide electricity to the remaining households i.e  7425 is under progress.Commissioner/Secretary entrusted upon all the concerned functionaries to ensure completion of work of providing electricity to  all left over households well within the stipulated time frame.He informed that all assistance in respect of material and man power shall be provided so  as to achieve target in full.Kumar further stressed that all the areas covered under the centrally sponsored schemes viz. Saubhagya, PMDP, DDUJY  shall be taken up on priority basis so that the aim of Har Ghar Bijlee is achieved.The meeting was attended by the District Development Commissioner  Samba, Sushma Chouhan, Chief Engineer EM&RE Wing Jammu, Sudhir Gupta, Chief Engineer S&O and Project Wing, Avinash Dubey, Superintending  Engineer EM&RE Circle Kathua , Sandeep Seth, Superintending Engineer S&O Circle S Gurmeet Singh, Superintending Engineer Project Wing,  Shivdev Singh Kotwal ,  ADDC Samba, ACD Samba Director(Planning) Power Development Department, CPO Samba, Executive Engineer EM&RE  Division Vijaypur, Executive Engineer Sub Transmission Division-II, Jammu, Executive Engineer Project wing Jammu and Assistant Executive  Engineers of all Sub Divisions of Vijaypur Division.
