BGSB University protest detention of B.Tech student from Srinagar by police

Protests erupt at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University on Thursday evening after a student pursuing B Tech was detained by police from the varsity.Reports reaching GNS said that a police team arrived at the varsity and detained the student namely Asrar Ahmad of Professor Colony, Lalbazar, Srinagar. Asrar is pursuing B. Tech Computer Sciences 3rd semester.The students later dispersed after the intervention of the Varsity administration.SSP Rajouri, Youghal Manhas confirmed to GNS that the student was picked and is being questioned presently.When contacted Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad said that he will seek the report with regard the student's detention."Why the student was detained? I will seek the report with regard to his detention and will look into it," he said. (GNS)
