DC Poonch supervises EVM Training session

Under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Rahul Yadav, a training session was conducted today to impart practical knowledge of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) to ROs and AROs.While speaking on the occasion, the DC informed that the training session was a part of ongoing process of training programmes for the upcoming Municipal and Panchayat elections.He said that the every RO and ARO has an important role in the smooth conduct of elections.Master Trainer, Vijay Puri gave a detailed and in-depth knowledge of various aspects and process of upcoming Municipal Elections. He informed the concerned officers about different processes involved in Municipal Elections such as public notice, nomination receiving, scrutiny , training of Polling staff , issuing of materials to polling personals , code of conduct and many alike.The officers present in the training were also informed about the operating and sealing of EVMs besides proper depositing of materials with the District Election Officer.ADC Basharat Hussain, DyDEO Shashi Bala besides resource person, ROs and AROs were present in the training session.
