DDC Ramban reviews Muharram arrangements

District Development Commissioner Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today convened a joint meeting of officers and representatives of Shia Associations, here to review the arrangements being put in place for smooth conduct of Muharram.The meeting discussed various issues projected by the representatives of Shia associations for the smooth conduct of Muharram. DDC directed PHE and PDD to  ensure uninterrupted power and water supply. Besides, health department was tasked to  ensure availability of healthcare facilitiesHe asked the concerned departments to ensure that the arrangements pertaining to their Departments are put in place well in time.Municipal authorities were directed to ensure cleanliness in and around Imambargah Chanderkot. Police and Traffic department was directed to provide fool proof security and traffic arrangements during the Muharram days.

The DDC directed the Tehsildar Ramban to personally monitor the arrangements so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience. Among others ADC, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh, ACR, Vevaik Puri, CPO, Uttam Singh, CMO, Executive Engneers of PHE, Tehsildar, District President Shia Federation J&K, Murtaja Ali, Secertary Anjuman-e-Imamia Chanderkot, Khaleel Ahmed Shah and other members of Shia federation   attended the meeting.
