Residents aghast over dismal condition of PHC in Aripal village of Tral

Local residents of Aripal village in Tral area of Pulwama district are aghast over the dismal condition of the primary health centre (PHC). They said that the PHC has shortage of staff; lack of facilities and Dysfunctional equipments in evokes anger among the local residents.The five bed Primary Health Center (PHC) caters scores of villages including Dar Gani Gund, Aripal, Sofigund, Khanagund, Hajin, Gutroo, Satoora,Naristan, Jawaharpora laam,Deodarpora,  utangoo, Heewan, Dharamgund, Laribal, Wagad, Syedabad, Zesibal, Soinar, Nagnaad and other Villages.Residents said that due to lack of staff and availability of Dysfunctional equipments patients are forced to visit other Hospitals including Sub District Hospital Tral for treatment.The PHC has staff of one Dental Surgeon and one Gynecologist. They said that due to Non availability of Pediatrician and Functional Equipments the Health care system has got badly affected. aAs per the local Residents the X-RAY machine was installed in the centre in early 2017 but the machine  is also defunct.  (PTK)
