DDC, Dir RD reviews functioning of RDD in Anantnag

The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik and Director Rural Development Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar reviewed the functioning of Rural Development Department (RDD), Anantnag in a meeting with BDOs of the district Anantnag to review the developmental scenario and implementation of various schemes of the department.The meeting was informed that works under various schemes are in progress in all the blocks of the district. Under PMAY, out of the total allocation of Rs 21.53 crore, cent per cent progress has been made against the availability of Rs 5.02 crore. Similarly, under MGNREGA, against an availability of Rs 46. 28 crore, against an allocation of Rs 48.98 crore, an expenditure of Rs 44.71 crore has been booked, which is 96% of the total availability. The BDOs were directed to start works under 14th FC, SDRF & MGNREGA in convergence mode at an earliest. They were also instructed to redress the public grievances with utmost priority.With regard to Khelo India Programme, it was given out that 36 playfields have been identified for repairs and renovation purpose, out of which repairs of 12 playfields have been identified. The officials directed for identifying more places for playfields for which funds will be provided to engage the youth in different sports activities. The BDOs were directed to prioritize the identification of more and more playfields in different areas of the district.The meeting was also attended by ACD, Anantnag, DPO, Anantnag & all the BDOs of the district.
