ACS Manisha Nanda holds Video conference on rain damages during recent rains with the deputy commissioners

Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue and Public Works) Manisha Nanda, held a video conference to review the rain damages during the monsoon, with the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts, here today. She congratulated the Deputy Commissioners for commendable job during the relief and rescue operations during the rains and appreciated the coordination of all the departments. She instructed all the Deputy Commissioners to send detailed report of the deaths due to rain and cloud bursts as soon as possible. She instructed all the concerned Deputy Commissioners to send the details of deaths including their name and address at the earliest.Manisha Nanda said that the kin of the deceased would be given ex- gratia of Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 50,000 each to the seriously injured. She directed the Deputy Commissioners of District Kangra, Kullu and Chamba to immediately assess the damage done to rain.

Manisha Nanda said that the state government would also submit the video documentary with the financial memorandum for the first time regarding the rain damages in the state during the rainy season. She said that the Meterological Department has sought land in District Shimla, Kullu and Chamba for the installation of Doppler Radars. After the installation of the radars the Meteorological Department will be in a better position to give forecast.Manisha Nanda also instructed all Deputy Commissioners to submit their Action Taken Reports immediately on the announcements made by the Chief Minister. She said that these announcements will be reviewed in the Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on 5th September 2018.
