Nine Samples Of Milk And Milk Products Taken Under ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’

As per the firm commitment of the Punjab government to check the adulteration of food, a joint team of the Dairy and Health department today conducted sampling of milk and milk products in the Shahkot area of the district.A team comprising Deputy Director Dairy Mr. Ram Lubhaya, Dairy Development Inspector Mr. Waryam Singh, Food Safety Officer Ms. Rashu Mahajan and District Health Officer Dr. Balwinder Singh started the crackdown against adulteration of the milk products at 5 am in the morning. Till9:30 am the team collected nine samples of the milk and products including two of Ghee, two of Cheese, one of curd and four of milk.The samples taken by the team would be sent to State Food Testing Laboratory Kharar for further checking. The team members said that under the ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’ this type of checking would continue in coming days also. They said that the adulterators of food items would not be spared at any cost and stern action would be taken against the perpetrators of this heinous crime would not be spared at any cost.
