Deputy Commissioner Patiala Mr Kumar Amit launched the newly improved website of Patiala District, which is based on S3WaaS (Secure, Scalable and Sugamya Website as A Service framework). It is bilingual (English and Punjabi) and can be accessed viz. https://Patiala.nic.in or https://Patiala.gov.in.Meanwhile, DC launched DM dashboard project launched for district Patiala under DARPAN project for online monitoring of state and central projects. DARPAN, a Dashboard for Analytical Review of Projects across Nation, transform complex government data into compelling visuals. It gives the district administration a tool, which is needed to deliver real-time, dynamic project monitoring. Patiala is the first district in the state where DM dashboard is being launched.DC Kumar Amit informed that the revamped website provides enhanced user-friendly functionalities and interfaces. It has responsive design i.e. it can be accessed through any internet ready device and is in compliance with GIGW (Guidelines for Indian Government Websites) standard website norms and robust security standards.The website can now be accessed by visually impaired persons by using the speaking software which is easily installable on any system, he added.

DC said that special feature has been added for Colourblind users, using which they can change the contrast of website for easy access. The website has been developed on S3WaaS platform by Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, District Informatics Officer, National Informatics Centre under the guidance of S3WaaS Team NIC, Head Quarters, New Delhi, he informed.Mr Kumar Amit said that DM dashboard is an online system which presents status and achievements of various state and central projects, graphically and chart wise using web-based software. The data is picked directly from servers hosting of these schemes through web services. Presently data of 35 schemes have been displayed on the dashboard can be accessed through the login facility. This system will help in monitoring and faster implementation of all these schemes.The status of all these running projects can review online, real-time basis for district Patiala at any time by DC Patiala e-district , Transport (Sarathi (DL) , VAHAN), MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission- Gramin,NRLM,NSAP, PMAY,SCHOLARSHIP, FARAD kendres ,Invest Punjab, SC/BC SCHOLARSHIPS, Pollution Control, School information, eOffice, HRMS etc..
