“Teeyan” Festival Celebrated At Women Jail

The festival Teeyan was celebrated in the premises of Women Jail, here today, in which Dr Gurpreet Kaur, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ludhiana cum Chief Judicial Magistrate was the chief guest. During the function, the inmates and undertrials of the Women Jail, enthralled the audience by showcasing their talent.While addressing the gathering, Dr Gurpreet Kaur congratulated the women for organising this function on the occasion of festival of Teeyan. She urged them to forget the mistakes of their past and should work hard in polishing their skills in the right direction. She said that several inmates have excelled in their lives after the completion of their jail term.Dr Gurpreet Kaur appreciated the efforts of Jail Superintendent Mrs Damanjit Kaur and the jail staff for organising this function. On this occasion, the jail staff honoured Dr Gurpreet Kaur and District Public Relations Officer, Ludhiana Mr Prabhdeep Singh Nathowal.
